Double Week-end Native American Workshop for the price of one.
In conjunction with Jerry's Artarama, Charlotte "WhiteOwl" Wheat, great-great-grand-daughter of Cherokee Chief John Brown, will conduct a two week-end workshop on Native American Pottery. The first week-end will be the hand-building week-end and will be conducted at Jerry's Artarama in Austin, Texas on IH35 on Saturday November, 30th beginning at 10:00 AM and will run til 4:00 PM with an hour off for lunch. The second week-end will be December 14th at 1104 Delano Street in Austin, Texas and will begin at 10:AM and last until the fire burns out. A Pot luck lunch is suggested for firing day. This will be a traditional pit fire of greenware work so it will be a once-fire. Total price for the double weekend workshop is $150.00 per person and this includes your clay. If you need any tools we suggest you pick them up at Jerry's prior to the hand-building workshop. All those interested in this workshop may sign up at Jerry's or contact Charlotte directly at Charlotte@potsbychar.com. Looking forward to a great turnout and a fantastic workshop.
